First of all, to the reviews that mention strong smoke or peat flavor - you’re probably reviewing the Kaiyo Peated, not this standard cask strength offering. With that out of the way, let’s get into it. I find the nose sweet, light, clean and not overly complex. Butterscotch and honey. When we get to the palette, the flavor comes in with unexpected strength compared to the mild nose. Full mouthfeel, buttery shortbread, biscuits and honey, toasted marshmallow. It’s rich without being saccharine. Fantastic! Just wish it was cheaper.
