Tastes

Spice forward on the nose as well as on the tongue, all the way through. Tames in the middle, strong through the finish. Pairs especially well with dark chocolate. Great expression of a high rye.

Spice +++. Cinnamon, oak, caramel on the palate. Cinnamon and vanilla medium finish. One of my favorites.

Vanilla and caramel nose. Slight apple. Medium finish with little spice. Very good rye.

Sweet on the nose. Spice on the palate. Very mild heat, but lingers. Cab cask is front and center, tries to steal the show. Very smooth, as expected with lower proof. Great nightcap to a steak and cab dinner.

Single Barrel Select for the state of Kansas: Strong vanilla on the nose with caramel, vanilla reappears on finish. Up front spice quick to calm, good oak presence. Very enjoyable.
