Classic bourbon and straightforward. Simple

Nose: Ripe orchard fruits, almost fermenting in the field, apple, anise Palate: Tart and fairly mild. Not much mouthfeel and not much flavor. Finish: Finishes stronger with barrel spice, astringency, and high pitched sweetness (poor description). Overall wanted more of a slam with the Armagnac and the nose is the most exciting piece of the experience.

Watered down, less complex Blantons.

Nose: musty, dusty, grapes. Generally subdued nose. Palate: wonderful. Roller coaster of flavors, each second that passes has a new wave. It’s sweet, but not overly bourbon, it’s oaky, but not overly tannin, and it’s complex but in waves, not all at once. Tobacco and leather mixed with the Armagnac casks. Finish is enticing and lingers.

Nose is dusty, nutty, unknown fruit. Palate is nutty, heat, tannins. Short to med finish. Quite like it, not surprised as I’m a fan of wild turkey.

Nose is vanilla and alcohol. Palate is numbing, corn, and dessert. Finish is lingering heat and sweet.
