Happy Birthday America!

Caramel & vanilla on the nose. Very sweet Palate’s the same, but lesser so. A bit underwhelming at the beginning, but as it sits it opens up quite a bit. Finish is very short, w/ a mild warming.

Had this in some coffee to see how it plays w/ others. Really brings the char character out & then you get creamy vanilla. Gives the coffee a bourbon barrel beer feel, honestly.

Single Barrel Select Limited Edition Harlen Wheatley picked Barrel No. 203 Nose: strong vanilla, green apples start to come through as it sits. Palate: same as the nose really. A bit of cinnamon there too. Finish: not too weak not too strong. Perfect warmer w/ lasting flavor. Overall a really good bourbon!

Not a fan of ryes, but am really liking this high rye bourbon. Cinnamon, spice, & some brown sugar on the nose. Palate’s more cinnamon & spice w/ a nice mouthfeel. Finish is cinnamon, rye spice, & dry.

Really good; & not just for the price.

Gets better as it ages in the bottle IMO. Wasn’t getting much when I first opened it, but a year in & the cherry definitely comes through a lot stronger, both on the nose & palate. Smoke was always there, but cherries were lacking. Best neat, just a drop of water lightens everything.
