8/8/17 - mmm this is a tasty dram! I've ha more than a few different products from KBD and up until now I've never tried this. Nose: king of a vanilla/banana Ish smell towards it then hints of a floral scent as well. Taste: sweet but definetly has rye in it , you can feel the heat tickle the tongue. The sweet spice and oak that creeps in as the dram chills on the tongue reminds me of gumdrop candies around Christmas with the initial sweet and spice. The smoke is nice and evident in this kind of similar to the Widow Jane 10yr SiB except this boast proof while the other boast age statement

I don't understand how this has such low ratings when it's in MGP rye but yet redemption rye as higher ratings even though it's coming from the same place but quite possibly bulleit could be older. Don't understand how people knock this when I pay 24.99 for this while redemption is only atleast 2yrs not anywhere near 4 but is usually about 25-26 .I won't lie given the choice I usually go with Dickle rye since it's still MGP but is around $22 at most stores .all of the charcoal filtering has a little bit of a different taste to it not much though

Such a great bourbon for the price it's amongst my favorite wheated bourbon mash!! I would take this over makers Mark any day and at the price point you could almost buy a half gallon for just a few bucks more than a 750 of makers
