Good, but not as good as the 12 year double wood. Similar but sweeter on the finish.

One of my favorite go to bourbons for under $25. Add a splash of water to it and it brings out more of the oaky dryness. A true great sipper for around the fire pit.

I enjoy the younger 12 year more. This is smoother, but also sweeter. For the price point I would stay with the Doublewood 12 year.

You just can’t go wrong when picking out something from The Balvenie line to grace your tastebuds! The Doublewood 12 year is a good starting point for sure! Not overly sweet as many whiskies can be, great full rich flavor.

The best thing this bourbon has going for it is the price. If you like alcohol burn and no flavor then this is the whiskey for you. This will be good to have in your collection for that person that comes over and wants a whiskey and coke.

Not a 101 fan, so was a bit nervous when buying this. Glad I took the chance! This is a solid whiskey! Not to sweet, more spice and oak come through on the taster. Will keep this in my stock pile for sure.
