Not a bad whiskey if you are looking for something not too complex. I agree with others that the oak is very subtle and if I had not read it beforehand I likely would have missed it. It’s a solid Canadian rye whiskey that offers some interesting flavours for someone that is just dipping their toe into nice spirits. I would wholeheartedly disagree with the 90 score it seems to have here... no doubt a hired gun/paid taster that has gone in with some bias... mind you I am biased toward smoker whiskies for the most part.

Sweet toffee on the nose and palate. Smooth and warming when neat. Slight burnt caramel flavour on the back end. Overall I’m surprised by the quality given the price.
