Balvenie Portwood 21 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed February 13, 2021 (edited March 8, 2022)Nose is incredible. My wife can't stand the smell of Scotch, but loved the smell of this one. Taste is very smooth with notes of dried fruit, almonds and honey. The aftertaste is long where a bit of peat does sneak in. This is a very complex dram and I recommend adding a little water to open up the floral notes. Can't wait to try it with a cigar as the aftertaste would lend itself well for that. -
