Journeyman's Not A King Rye - 2- Both of these noses are GREAT. I'm initially greeted with a green jolly rancher that's nice and tart! Nose too hard and you'll miss it. slightly lighter and bright compared to 1. it almost opens up to pear upon diving further in. Vanilla Ice cream, pear ala mode. the nose continues to evolve as the last sip remains. almost That lightness certainly continues on the palate, and the becomes more clear that it is pear im tasting. Wow, yeah, PEAR! A Light and almost toasted oak? The finish is lacking a bit. it doesn't quite create the experience id like through the mouth and is confined to the middle of my tongue. The pear lingers through the end but I feel this would be better at higher proof.

Sazerac Rye - 1- A bit more traditional on this nose with pleasant bits of orange and perhaps a bit of baking spice and overall a darker and richer nose. coming back a third time I get a bit of traditional oak. the orange on the nose may follow into the palate, and I think it may present as tangerine? I'm getting old fasioned in a glass nose with the orange, a bit of bitterness "bitters" and like a light cherry. Fruit cocktail? The cherry turns syrupy, almost reminiscent of a honey note... combined with the oak its very balanced and I would be happy to sip on this into the evening The last sip I got some superb berry smells, black berry and blueberry. I almost went toward grape koolaid but was immediately brought back to blueberry. The bitterness on the palate has dissappeared and makes this become instantly more favorable. a whisp of smoky char greeted me at the last moment as I finished my last sip.

Chocolate covered almonds on the nose Vanilla and caramel Quickly leavjng the palate leavjng reminants if vanilla extract

Kinda of a small nkse, hard to pull. Oak is oresent. Searching hard for orange. Plesant sipping and mild palate. Drinks at proof. The mid finish peaks w/ a gentle spice but yields to an earthy funk likely from the malted barkey. Not a huge fan.

Cherries, chocokate, leather on the finish.

Young tasting. Flat and somehwat boring on the nose with a ligh sweetness. Forgettable on the palate and a mild flavor expression - fast fleeting flavor but a nostalgic bottle

Full bodied, oily Very rounded to taste, no sharo edges and smooth on the pallate and after taste. Toasted cereal pallate with a mustyness. Not peaty like a scotch but earthier
