Similar in nose and taste to Eagle Rare. Excellent bourbon at a slightly higher cost.

Light Scotch like nose. Yellow liquid is thin and carries sweetness and some vegetal flavors and very little barrel. The finish is short with a little pepper spice.

Nicely balanced, clearly influenced by the bourbon barrel. Terrific neat. May buy a bottle for Irish whiskeys next weekend.

Spicy and flavorful high proof goodness. Spicy rye blends into a nutty mid palette. The nose is very appealing and the juice backs up the promise. Very pleased to see a barrel proof expression from this NDP. Hope to see more from them, especially juice that originates from Castle and Key.

Barrel 110. Very flavorful for the relatively thin mouth feel. Very nice for under $100 for the age of the juice.

Earthy and peaty with noticeable spice on the nose. Sweet earthy goodness with a medium warm finish.

Caramel bomb with apricot and pepper. Wife says, “damn, it’s just good. You have permission to acquire a bottle.”

Magical nose and well balanced bourbon on the palate. Enjoy the finish and the easy warming.

Delicious sweet breakfast pastry with cinnamon, cherry, vanilla, tropical floral hints on the nose. The wood provides a strong foundation for the decadent mouth feel and promised flavors appear on the palate as the warmth spreads and the balanced finish lingers. The classic Buffalo Trace hook, is it a product of the mash bill, the yeast, or both makes it easy to return for the next sip, pour, or uncorking of Eagle Rare.
