Powerful, raisin, blackcurrant, fantastic texture and warmth like a cask strength should be. So warming

Peated Whisky Cask Edition. Chocolate, peanuts, that cask strength goodness. Lovely but watch out for the powerful cask. Neat. On the rocks brings out the ethanol, do not recommend.

Oloroso Matured edition. Cask strength warm, a salty cherry flavor, hint of leather. A fine sherry profile to collect.

Lovely and warm. Cask strength punch, but sweet, lightly fruity, spicy on the finish.

Flavorful, spicy, chocolate heavy taste, a healthy ethanol burn w the 90 proof.

Warm, mellow, a hint of smokiness. It isn't complex, there isn't nuance, but it doesn't offend you by saying or being otherwise, and it tastes correct is what is most important to me.

The first Japanese whiskey I've tasted. In a good way, it is fragile: crisp, light, and sweet. Yet the alcohol flavor and taste that might come through in such a mellow whiskey doesn't come forward but instead settles in, content to be in the mix. As my inaugural Japanese whiskey, I am happy with it, and look forward to more such whiskeys on my shelf.
