Tastes

This is a keeper. Not complex, easy drinking. All honey and oak. Hard to score higher if you know what it replaced (a 12 year ace).

Nose: Oak, caramel, spice note. Palate: creamy/oily mouthfeel, citrus, rye spice and caramel. Not complex, nothing jumps out, but it works. Finish: best part. Rye spice lingers, orange and vanilla. This is a shelf staple for me. Easy drinking, good to intro newcomers to a little barrell/rye spice.

Oak and grapes on the nose. Traditional honey and vanilla notes. Lingers a good while, with a peppery and oak finish.
