Elijah Craig 18 Year Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 2, 2016 (edited June 27, 2021)Bought barrel 4183. Bottled on 10-21-97. I am amazed at how great this bourbon is! Paid a lot of money for it and it is worth every penny! The taste is spicy with a nice dry peppery finish. Not as woodsy as people have said. Will try with water or ice to get different feel! Highly recommend if you can find it!! Tried again 6/27/21 Amazing! Still a favorite! Hasn’t missed a lick. I enjoyed neat. Caramel, vanilla on front. Coats the tongue to almost numbness. Smooth long finish black pepper on the end.45.0 USD per PourProvender Hall -
Started my Valentine off great drinking Pappy with the love of my life! Good but not worth all the hype! Reminds me of Weller 12 which is an amazing bourbon it's self. Now I have had the 12 and 23. I will say the 12 is easier to drink compared to 23. 23 is like drinking the bark of a tree! $18 for 2oz pour would highly recommend while it last!
