Dusty, tart green apples on the nose with a hint of mint and candied sweetness. The complexity on the palate is beyond unique. You do pick up on the nutmeg and allspice. Definitely oak forward (25 yrs will do that), but I love it. Warm, figgy sweetness with zero "spicy" finish as they advertised. I preferred the 24 to the 25, but this is one of the best I've ever tasted.

Hard to find a better bourbon than this at the proof, but you'll pay for it.

Sausage and maple syrup on the nose but doesn't transfer to the palate. Strong cereal notes. A little peppery.

This is simply heaven in your mouth! Of course, there is tons of oak due to the age, but lovely notes of stewed fruits and buttered pie crust with baking spices of vanilla and light cinnamon. Maybe a tad bit of chocolate and spice on the finish but so much going on. Layered perfectly. It's rare to find delicious old whiskey, but Rhetoric 24 is 100/100.
