Tastes

Nose: Spicy with hints of pepper and black licorice. Light vanilla. Taste: Spicy with black pepper. Black licorice (hint). Slightly sweet but prickly or "spikey" on the tongue. Has a bite even for a low proof. Not bad, but pretty basic.

Nose: Vanilla! Caramel sweetness with definite oak. Classic bourbon characteristics overall. Taste: Vanilla, caramel, and oak. Sweet. Not very dense or complex. Light. Bright.

Nose: Chocolate covered cherries. Heavy vanilla and caramel. Slight oak. Taste: Cherry with vanilla and dark caramel. Sweet taste that coats the tongue. Nice light oak finish.

Nose: Honey-glazed ham. Very dense, dark, and deep. Ripe fruit (plums, raisins, dark cherries). Classic caramel and vanilla with oak but not in the spotlight. Taste: Deep, dark molasses sweetness that turns to bitter coffee/cocoa, then finishes with dry oak. Tannins. Almost numbing the tongue. Smooth finish, but dry.
