Tastes

One of my favorite bourbons. I truly like the spicier notes you get with a rye forward bourbon. I definitely smell the butterscotch on the nose with a small hint of vanilla. The is a little creamy with a nice hint of oak and spice. The finish gives you that Kentucky hug and lingers just enough. The second and third nose brings out a little more of the spice.

Pear, spice, butterscotch on the nose. Oak on the palate with a medium finish. Really surprised at how much the spice jumped out with the 2nd and 3rd sip. Very prominent spice on the nose. It gives that wonderful Kentucky hug. I think I may have found my new sipper.

The bartender warned me it was sweeter than I’d expect. He was right! The taste was delectable but the added port definitely gave it a sweeter flavor.

Standard bourbon nose. A small little butterscotch maybe a little apple. Pretty like nose actually. Spicy long finish definitely taste of oak. Slightly sweet

Long finish with a decent amount of spice. Still learning to adjust the palate to all the tastes.
