Meh. Just not a very interesting dram.

I thought this was super good and a big surprise that I picked up for a New Years Eve party. If you like sweet, cherry forward bourbon scoop this up.

Local Whiskey barrel pick. Delicious. Sweet and balanced. An assault of flavor that hides the proof and is well worth the price.

This is the best Pennsylvania craft whiskey I had on my trip back, by a long shot. I’m excited for the future of Barrel 21!

Crazy that this was only the third best whisky of the day.

This was specifically noted as a Yamazaki 12 Mizunara Cask at the Distillery. This was the second best whisky of the day, behind only Hibiki 30. Better than Yamazaki 25 and Yamazaki LE. Japanese Whisky in Mizunara casks is legit.

What an incredible treat to start off my tour of the distillery. Easily the best Japanese Whisky I've ever had.

First pour back from my Kyoto vacation. This was the first time I've ever seen this bottle for sale! The taste is very dry, and slow developing on the tongue. Underpinned by caramel, the white pepper, hay, and heavy spiciness take the opportunity to shine.
