John J Bowman Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Virginia, USA
Reviewed May 24, 2021 (edited August 10, 2021)Nose: Vanilla, oak, hint of berries. Palette: Oily, slick texture. Very smooth. Light vanilla, oak, dark berries, and baking spices. Like a baked goods bourbon with strong baking spices and oak. You can taste the age in this as well as the balance. Finish: Long, baking spices pop in the mouth. Leather. Drying mouthfeel. Lot of complexity here. Excellent bourbon and my new go-to.49.99 USD per Bottle -
Knob Creek 12 Year Cask Strength Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 21, 2021 (edited April 22, 2022)Very syrupy mouthfeel and full bodied flavors. Dark cherry mixed with coconut, oak, nuttiness and baking spices. The finish is outstanding and pretty long. It starts off a bit spicy but each sip gets better and better. It's like Knob Creek 12 but way more concentrated. Like Bookers but more balanced.90.0 USD per Bottle -
Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch A121
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 21, 2021 (edited March 3, 2021)Excellent caramel, raspberry, Graham cracker. Baking spices, oak and tobacco. Long finish with well matured oak and peppery tobacco. Great mouthfeel despite being a lower proof batch. Basically has everything you'd want in a bourbon. Great release by Elijah Craig.59.99 USD per Bottle -
Delicious and full-bodied bourbon. Coconut, oak, a hint of cherry. Barrel char and baking spices. Long finish. The cask strength is evident here as its very thick and the barrel char is definitely there. Reminds of ECBP B520 where you get that rickhouse scent and full barrel flavor. Overall an elevated product from KC12 and 15 and easily outshines Bookers. If you're a fan of Knob Creek I recommend it.

This one starts off hot! And quite bitter ethanol finish. Astringent and drying. It opens up and mellows sitting in the glass. This is where it comes into its own. Caramel, cherry, savory salted pretzel and oak. A hint of leather on the finish - more oak and a little bit of that salted pretzel on the finish. This one feels a bit older than C919 with more oak presence. Overall exceptional for the money.59.99 USD per Bottle
