on the nose I get get chocolate covered raisins,ofc, the vanilla, a caramel, a little honey in there, an the slightest amount of cherry. 🍒 On the palate I get the toasted marshmallow I’d expect to get on the nose. On the second sip I got a little brightness to it like coconut. Finish is fairly quick and rounds out nicely. A fairly quick finish that rounds out nicely sounds like the perfect balance — enough flavor to satisfy but smooth enough to keep you coming back.

Right off the bat, getting obviously sherry wine aromas, but banana and ginger are found there too. Dark fruits. Chocolate notes, with a little water added it softens but than Granny Smith 🍏, at its proof it’s amazing neat, but nice to know you can stretch it w water to make it last longer cause the finish is crazy long! There’s a little smoke in there but just enough to tease you and only want more, but the finish doesn’t allows you to just sit with it for quite some time!

This is a banna split in a glass and nothing more and thats not a bad thing! This is my 3rd wheated bourbon l, don’t remember the first one but the second one was Penelope barrel strength 4 grain and yes that bottle has a mich higher abv @ 114 proof but this bottle allbe beats the Penelooe! This is banna, chocolate, vanilla ice cream and perfect!

Strength Store Pick • Nose: Dense and vibrant; raspberry cream wrapped in seasoned oak, with honey dripping down the sides of the glass. Almost gives the impression of a finished or pot-stilled whiskey. • Palate: Rich cherry cream. Cherry note rides out long and smooth like a sunset. Full-bodied and voluptuous.

Proofpoint is in my wheelhouse right there for a rye. The nose is fabulous, like a fig jam with carmel toffee, almost like a little mocha, but still with some maple sawdust…..the palate…is super sweet and tricks you from the nose, its more subtle sweetness, its delicate.its oily and a bit of spice.
