Tastes

Nose: Pickled onion, dark chocolate, sweet syrup. Palate: Dark chocolate, dry, a touch of coffee. Finish: Peppery spice, brown paper. Date skin.

Nose: Chocolate, orange oil, fruit cake spices. Palate: Thick mouthfeel. Milk chocolate. Damp wood. Finish: Wood spice. Coffee grounds.

Nose: Dusty corn, banana bread. Wood varnish. Palate: Light. Tastes exactly like banana slices on brown bread. Even has the texture to go with it. Finish: Earthy, almost nutty. Rye spice comes through.

Look: An amazing deep pink tinge to the colour with long syrupy legs. Nose: Sweet summer berries. A base of dark chocolate. Palate: Briny. Fruity berries, strawberry. Roasted almonds immediately on the swallow. Finish: Dark chocolate. Wood spices. Stewed fruits arrive on the aftertaste. Needs a bit of breathing I think, it's got a touch of harshness that I expect will relax in time.

Nose: Conference pear and floral notes with spikes of spicy ginger root. Vanilla bean on the retro. Palate: Spicy pepper and ginger with some fruity sweetness thst I cant pin down. Finish: Lightly caramelised pear which turns sweeter on the aftertaste.

Nose: Light honey, vanilla and floral with some apple. On the retro there's an acetone note coming through Palate: Light body, orchard fruits, baking spices. Slight grain. Finish: Dried stone fruit, pear drops, and a warming spice.

Nose: Spicy cinnamon, chocolate, a touch of maple, some wood varnish. Palate: Good mouthfeel, sweet vanilla and corn, caramelised nuts. Finish: Oak and cinnamon with a balanced heat.

Nose: Tart, almost citrusy aroma. Some stone fruit and sherry notes. Palate: Creamy, slightly thick mouthfeel. The sensation of licking salt but not the flavour. Toffee and spicy pepper. Finish: Salted caramel. Faint citrus peel.

Nose: Milk chocolate, caramel and wafer biscuits. It reminds me of Tunnock's wafer caramel. A touch of spiciness. Palate: Soft. Chocolate covered spicy ginger. Finish: The spices increase in intensity and introduces some stewed apple.

Nose: Sweet conference pear, shortbread, dried grass. Palate: Slightly oily mouthfeel. Sweet, toffee covered nuts. Malty. Finish: Peppery, lasting orchard fruit. Warming.
