First pour so will give it some time. Getting strong hints of tobacco in this bottle. More to come.

Mecklenburg county pick. First pour and wow! Smooth and sweet with a nice finish. This one really surprised me. Best $35 bourbon I’ve had in a while.

Not much on the nose other than alcohol. Palate is a little more diverse with some sweet and slice, but the alcohol burn comes quickly and lasts. Guessing this would be an awesome bourbon with a little more age in the barrel.

This one definitely improved after some ice melt. Initially I got too much oak and cinnamon, with a long burn finish. After the melt, started to get more sweetness. A good bourbon, but still not sure I understand the price point for Barrell bourbon.

Haven’t had this in a while. Maybe it has opened up because it was better than I remembered. Nothing special about the nose but the taste is definitely unique. Very sweet with citrus (more like lemon than orange?), cinnamon and honey. Nice kick for the finish. Bought a single barrel so wanted to compare this one and glad I did.

Man I love this bourbon. Definitely ranks up there as one of my favorites. So smooth and sweet with the right amount of heat. I could drink this all day.

Interesting to say the least. Nose is pretty mild and palate is all over the place. Finish has a definite non-alcohol burn, maybe like cinnamon? The Tawny really influences the taste when drinking neat. Add a cube and all of a sudden the flavors balance out and it gets much easier to drink. Also calms the finish. At first I was unsure, but after adding the ice it was impressive.
