It's iodine, red berries, a tingling ethanol, and Sherry notes. The palate is full and smooth with more sherry and oak. The finish is dry oak, Sherry, baked tarts, and has a long lingering warmth. This is a great sherry smooth dram.

Caramel, Rye spice, and smooth on the nose. It's full, rich and spicy on the palate. The rye spice and baking spices come through and leave a nice warming finish of pink peppercorns that's not offensive or too lingering.

Old Forester 1920 Prohibition is caramel, vanilla, toffee, ethanol, faint smoke and oak on the nose. It is rich, smooth, oily, full, toffee, spice and smoke on the palate. It finishes sweet, slightly dry oak, cinnamon and a lingering warmth that is not too hot even though it's bottled at 115 proof. The style of this Bourbon and the impetus for its creation makes you ponder about the nature of our country in the Roaring 20's. I think this Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Bourbon would be best paired with watching some Boardwalk Empire.

The nose is light campfire smoke but underneath there are scents of pitted fruits and subtle red apples. The palate is oily with oak and white pepper. It finishes strongly with dry oak, peat, smoke and a deep warmth.

It's cinnamon and apples on the nose, the palate is dry oak and cinnamon red hots. The finish is dry and oak with a burning warmth. This is a good Rye that is not too edgy or hot for its age and proof, don't fear the poor reviews on this and take advantage of a 100 proof Texas Rye that's under $35
