Tastes

This is possibly the worse whiskey I've ever tasted. I think the problem is mostly related to their drying process. Way, way too much smoke. I can imagine it's similar to what an arsen investigator would smell walking into a burned house. I might try blending some of this with a lighter Scotch single malt to get through the bottle, but otherwise, wish I hadn't bought it.

My tasting experience is with less expensive bourbons and I was delighted to find this one on sale in a Virginia liquor store. Guess I didn't know what I was missing. It's like a flavor party going on in my mouth.

A good drop. I received it as a Christmas gift and savor every sip. Bob Dylan should be proud to have his name associated with this bourbon.

Good bang for the buck. This is my main sipping bourbon. a generous splash of spring water mellows the high ABV and brings out the sweet vanilla undertones.

very little on the nose. I tasted with a splash of water and was fairly unimpressed. it had some toasted oak notes on the front end, but nothing lingering after that. kinda fits the political name - long on promise and short on delivery.
