Nose: apricot, brown sugar, wood Palate: dark fruit, cherry, oak, burnt sugar Finish: smoky, heat, pepper

Nose: Sweet red fruits, apricot, toffee, candied-cinnamon almonds Palate: Smooth sweetness (as if a wheated bourbon), light maraschino syrup ending. Finish: Warmth crescendos then fades to a sweet praline. Slight heat and sweetness does linger! Delicious

Nose: very sweet, cherry start. Carmely finish, smooth & easy on the nose. Palate: Sweet right up front, hazelnutty, with a wave of heat that eventually subsides. Finish: brown sugar & warmth that keeps the mouth watering.

Well…definitely overrated. Get an initial burn as if a higher proof, but tastes of corn, rye & oak….that’s about it. And just when you think the taste falls flat, you get a hint of maple at the end. Not very good for Sippin neat. however quickly made a Manhattan with it and it’s going down fairly nice.

Expert review was spot on the taste! Sweet, tropical hints, vanilla, & crème soda! Initially it reminded me of a wheated bourbon with its sweet smoothness, but building spicy after tastes give the rye away!! Very underrated!!

Nose: A spiced banana & butterscotch with ethanol singe. Taste: spicy sweet corn, with a slight finish of caramel nut Finish: Dark richness of burnt marshmallow, warmth, earthy tones.

Well I DEFINITELY disagree with PissingKingMartin. Floral notes: Sweet fruit, salted toffee, dark caramel. Taste: Sweet peppery start that blends into a Dark Chocolate Almond bar, with subtle hints of orange. Finish: warm, sweet, molasses fade away.

Nose: Allspice, black raspberry Taste: Sweet dark fruit & tobacco Finish: Warm, peaty sweetness with nasal remembrance of aged leather.

Agree with several of the tasting notes with the exception of a black licorice taste that fades smoothly into a wisp of peatiness. Love the complexity the aspen staves leave on the whiskey.
