Macduff 1999 15 Year Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed September 2, 2019 (edited October 19, 2019)Fantastic Highland scotch that is well spiced with smooth vanilla notes. It’s a complex, peppery scotch that is still easy on the palate and lingers. Having shared with friends who love scotch and friends who almost never drink it, every single one has enjoyed this Macduff. -
Loch Lomond 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands , Scotland
Reviewed September 2, 2019 (edited October 4, 2019)More interesting on the nose than on the palate. Sweet fruit notes dissipate too quickly to a dry, harsh finish. It promises more that it delivers and lingers in a way that isn’t pleasant. That said, it’s a relatively easy scotch to drink, and at the price it’s possible this could be one to share with friends where others may find joy in what I find to be unfulfilling35.0 USD per Bottle
