Tastes

The familiar Jameson notes are there, but layered on top of it are a number of more complex and deep flavors. The nose is slightly spicier with light lemon zest and a hint of cinnamon. It’s a very sweet dram, with the additional casks bring much more fruit than normal Jameson. Cherry and dried red fruit, banana and citrus, and a deep lasting caramel and toffee finish. If you aren’t a fan of sweet whiskey this probably isn’t for you, but it makes for a solid after dinner drink.

The nose is light and pleasant with some wood spice and citrus. For the taste, imagine a handful of trail mix (chocolate, dried cranberries/other dried red fruit/and nuts) mixed with just the right balance. Throw in a light caramel and oak note, and this is an incredibly easy to drink, but no less interesting dram.

The nose is woody and spice-laden with cinnamon and nutmeg. The taste still brings some light heat, but features toffee and caramel. There’s still a pretty heavy oak note, but it’s a dry and delightful whiskey that isn’t bogged down with sweetness.
