Tastes

The first bottle of rare breed i had was very sweet and tasted like cherries. This one smells like graham crackers and tastes more leathery and sweet.

Really strong nose and initial flavor is very sweet and rich, however, as the whisky develops it begins to become harsh and taste much of grain at the finish.

Very good wheated bourbon with very little burn considering the proof… Very nice to drink after encountering many rough and harsh whiskeys in the last few months.

This whisky smells great but is very much a one noter. You first sip and get a nice fruity baking spice note, but past that it doesn’t develop or evolve. For the price point this is not worth buying.

Very very unique rye whisky. Offers a briliant collection of flavors that is entirely unique to this pour. Good straight and nice as an old fashioned.

I am unsure what went wrong here. Not a bad bourbon but for the cost???? I would’ve rather been sipping on some Evan Williams black label. I get none of the rosè cask flavor on this whiskey and frankly it comes off harsh and thin. This was very disappointing to me as I enjoyed the Penelope toasted finsh whiskey.

Hooked me on whisky for the first time. Awesome development of flavors from the usual spiced banana flavor, casual to Old forrester, then transforms into a sweet red apple, finally back to banana. I will always have this in stock on my bar!

Smooth and viscous bourbon with a hell of a lot of flavor. For sure worth buying by any means. Must have!
