Privateer The Queen's Share Rum
Aged Rum — Massachusettes, USA
Reviewed October 29, 2021 (edited June 13, 2022)Nice clear, deep bronze color. Good legs, thin and quick moving. Clean medium nose, low alcohol for 109 proof spirit. There’s an interesting mustiness with hints of oak, vanilla and Baking spices with some ripe banana well hidden. Very dry, but with a full palate. Nice spice notes that build on the palate then linger on the back finishing with almost a sweet note of toffee or treacle. Overall a very good rum with some nice complexity while still being very approachable. Far too good for a cocktail but very fine either neat or with just a small cube to open it up.Key West -
Appearance: clear, pale yellow/straw color, almost white. Nose: clean and light with an interesting ester profile. Some ripe, dark fruit citrus notes behind the heavier notes of the Jamaican rum. Palate: Full palate, off-dry to dry, smooth, warming mouth feel. Light in flavor with subtle offerings of over ripe citrus that lingers at the back of the palate. Had some tinges of a light blanco tequila. Overall a very good white rum, perfect for a light flavor cocktail like a daiquiri

Nice reddish brown color. Clean easy nose with subtle hints of oak and citrus. Full semi-dry medium body on the palate with some oak hints of oak, a nice touch from the virgin barrels. Ends with a clean finish that falls off a bit quick, but with notes of pepper. Overall a really nice approachable rum for the price point. Great neat or on the rocks, but mixable as well.50.0 USD per BottleSarasota Liquor Locker
