Laphroaig QA (2015 - 168) Bottling Code: L5168MB1 Bottle opened: 12 days Final Review date: 21-5-20 N: Smoky, Medicinal Peat, Citrusy (Lemon), and Herbal notes with a touch of Vanilla. (Watered down QC) (8/10) P: Thin and Watery almost like a Syrup. Smoky, yet on the Sweeter side. Citrus. Oak dominates the palate followed by Vanilla Sweetness. (Watered down QC) (7/10) F: Medium finish with the balance of Smoke, Oak, and Sweetness. Dry and Bitter at the end. (7/10) An easy-drinking Laphroaig for those summer evenings.

GLEN GRANT 10 (2016) Bottling Code: LR0/FL06 Bottle opened: 3 weeks Final Review date: 18-5-20 N: A nice mix of Floral and Fruity (Apple, Pear) notes. Orange and Lemon Zest (Lemon pastry of Upper-Wagon), Vanilla Cream, and a bit of Cinnamon Spice. (8/10) P: Light texture and weak on the palate. Too weak to really deliver the flavors of the nose. Only Vanilla and Honey. (5/10) F: Short with some Bitterness. (4/10) A very subtle dram, good for a hot day to enjoy. [Pastry-Wagon: Defunct bakery store in Ahmedabad, India.]

LAPHROAIG QC (2015 - 314) Bottling Code: L5314MB1 Bottle opened: 1 week Final Review date: 17-5-20 N: Instantly, some Sulfuric (Eraser, Used Matches) notes. But then, it’s all Wood (Oak), Peat (Peat, some Bandages), Orange Zest, Licorice, and Spices (Cinnamon, Pepper). (8/10) P: Sweet Peat, Citrus with loads of Oak and Smoke and Earthy Peat. Chili Heat. Medium body, not Watery, but also neither Chewy nor Oily. (8/10) F: Barbecue Smoke, Coffee (after tongue smacking), Phenolic finish. Warm, Medium-long and Dry. (8/10) Very drinkable. Awesome!!!

TAKETSURU 17 (2016) Bottle opened: 6 months Final Review date: 16-5-20 N: Very Fruity (Apple), and Citrusy (Lemon). Honey, and Mint. (9/10) P: Quite disappointing after an intriguing nose. Soft, Woody (Oak) with light Bitterness. (6/10) F: Creamy with some Smoke. Licorice, Herbs, Charred Oak, and Chocolate. Medium and Dry. (6/10)
