Nose: Sweet, caramelized red fruit, buttery....with a hint of sweet buffalo Palate: It’s like your grandma made a cherry pie in an oak pie pan, covered it with sugar and hit it with a blow torch. Finish: A big American kick to the throat followed by a big warm Kentucky hug from your Grandma’s sisters cousin Darlene It may not be the best batch made, but it’s damn good and everything you expect from the name on the bottle

Not exciting at the nose with vanilla and sweet wood but very muted. Initial palate sweet, with hint of char but very strong fennel flavor at the end that is slightly over powering for my liking. Finish was dry with lingering fennel mid palate. Overall unique but the strong fennel flavor is currently not to my liking.
