Tastes

Bourbon Enthusiast pick. Lovely nose of sweet honey, followed by subtle rye spice and candy licorice. Palate is rich and sweet. Strawberry syrup and pecans. Some classic bourbon notes. Finish is shorter than expected, but still savery. Not your everyday bottle, but a good one nonetheless.

Sample 2020. Harsh ethanol on the nose and palate. Classic bourbon nose married with orange peel and lavender. Palate lacks cohesion with some sips delivering fractured cognac and others barrel char and maple syrup. Finish is medium and nothing special. Did not care for this one and would not seek out a bottle.
