Old Bardstown White Label Bourbon 90 Proof
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 18, 2020 (edited May 21, 2021)Vanilla and caramel with notes of fruit and spice on the nose. It has a complexity and richness that I assume comes from the use of the pot still. Palate: dark fruit with vanilla and caramel. Nutmeg and cinnamon with a hint of black pepper. Creamy and rich with a medium finish. Willett has yet to disappoint me. I would take this over many bottles at 2-3x the price -
Sharp on the nose with heavy alcohol and just a slight hint of sweetness (honey maybe? If the bees had been alcoholics.) Classic bourbon notes start to make themselves known as it sits. On the palate it’s pleasant, but nothing to go crazy about. Worth a try at the price point ($22) but not one I’ll keep of the shelf.22.0 USD per Bottle
