Old Crow // USA
The favorite bourbon of President Ulysses S. Grant and once the top selling bourbon in the USA until poor production methods in the mid-1900's turned old crows on to other brands.
Jim Beam, now Suntory Beam, bought the brand in 1987 and it is now bottled on a production method more similar to Jim Beam’s 3-year sour mash. .

Tasting Notes
"Not as grassy of a nose as its older brother Beam but there’s a lot more corn present. The bourbon has a sweet mandarin-orange tea quality. It’s quite palatable with a roasted peanut finish. Great pairing with an ice-cold can of PBR or Old Stag. Adding a couple of dashes of Angostura bitters and rich simple syrup makes a pretty nice Old Fashioned cocktail as well. "
