3.25. Sherry and oak just punch through immediately. Creamy mouth feel, finishes dry, some subtle tobacco & smoke notes. Pretty nicely balanced for the intense fruity sherry notes you get on the palate.

This is really good stuff for the price. A touch harsh on the palate, finish is short but a lot of rich flavours still punch through.

3.5. Liked it. A bit of a harsh alcohol taste, but it opens up to a nice spicy, zesty palate. Tart & smoky finish lingers.

Very solid value scotch. Nice when you'd like to ease off the peat into something with slightly more complexity. Almost blend-like sweetness with rich fruit notes, separating itself from other Islays. Still the vanilla, marshmallow & caramel notes with a longer than expected smoky & peppery finish.

2.75. Corn/rye ratio maybe a bit too much for me. Pretty sweet but also perhaps over compensated by the spice & oak as it carries very dark/bitter quality. Getting the rum note on the nose more so than the palette but it's there.
