Tastes

The smell is sweet orangy-vanilla with lighter floral closer to a rose than to a honeysuckle. Reminds me of a really nice citrusy floral perfume. The rose smells are close to sweet cherry. The taste starts strong with the cherry and goes straight into peppery spicy but not overwhelming spicy. Leather with hints of bitter oak. A warm thick oily texture. The finish is long and tannic. It fades from pepper spice to oak bitters. This was the 130.0 proof batch.

smells of sweet caramel or candy corn underlying is a faint sweet sugar date smell. taste hits straight with hot pepper spice. clean and bright maybe some would say young and simple. medium oily oaky but no musty or funky. fades away to not unpleasant slightly bitter oak.

sweet floral grass nose. taste is a little hot with white pepper spicyness. there is a sweetness that lingers easy to not confuse with a burbon its not a caramel or vanilla sweetness. the finish leaves a aftertaste of green hay not unpleasant at all.

This was a local store pick. Brown sugar and candy smells with heavy fumes. Definitely a caramel mostly taste with a surprising smoothness for the high proof. No bitterness at all sweet funky finish. Makes you want more.

ethanol smell at first, lighter floral scents underneath, but not quite sweet to me. vanilla extract taste with heavier oak bitters on the very long finish.
