Tastes

The nose is basically the same as regular double oaked, but the taste is much more intense while still managing to be smooth. Powerful notes of both vanilla and, somehow, chocolate along with tobacco.

Outstanding given its young age. Sweet nose with a powerful sherry note, and surprisingly smooth given the young age. Tastes like a cross between amontillado and a wheaten bourbon like Buffalo Trace. Maybe not the most complex flavor but definitely worth a try if you like both bourbon and sherry.

Smells of sweet vanilla, very pleasant nose. Extremely smooth with a long finish. Tastes very woody, vanilla, and nutty. Delicious.

Very sweet nose with heavy vanilla abs chocolate overtones. Taste is very woody and spicy to me, almost a borderline rye flavor. I’m generally not a fan of the spicy bourbons but this is one of my favorites in that category. I typically don’t find spicy bourbons to go down as smooth, but this one does.

Wonderful, mellow nose with subtle hints of leather, vanilla, and bandaid. Not the smoothest small batch I’ve tasted but heavy on complex flavors including again vanilla, woody, cinnamon or cloves. Very sweet and not too spicy.

Powerful, biting woody vanilla nose. Spicy and sharp like you’d expect from a rye, but pleasantly smooth with a lingering finish.

Weak nose with a mild peaty smell. Interesting flavor that reminds me of Woodford but with a woodier finish that tastes of tobacco and chocolate. Overall I think it’s pretty good.

Very sweet and fruity. Like Pappy only not quite as rich. Heavy vanilla and nutty undertones.

Weak nose, smells vaguely of cherries to me, but the flavor is great given it’s class and the fact that I strongly prefer wheated bourbons. Pleasantly spicy and extremely smooth with notes of leather and smoke. Resembles Scotch more than a typical bourbon does.
