Initially smooth. Nicely balanced between sweet (fruity) and spicy (rye). The finish is more spicy than fruity. Good neat as well as on the rocks.

Bottle 588, Barreled on 3/9/2012, Bottled on 3/16/2020. So something good did come out of 2020 after all. Warm, with nice vanilla and spice notes. Well worth the price.
