A gentle soft sweetness is the first sensation on the palate, like so much good Japanese whisky, the subtlety is what makes it intriguing. There is a lot of solid spice, cedar on the palate, with a soft aftertaste that reminds me of agave syrup, without being cloying. Definitely a special whisky for after dinner.299.0 USD per Bottle

Ledaig 1998 Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask Finish
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed January 6, 2020If you appreciate a heavily peated whisky, Ledaig is a brand to consider. This particular expression is a wonder. Think toffee, chocolate, red fruits on the nose and palate. The finish is rather peppery. I find that it opens wonderfully with a spot of pristine water added to the glass. This is a whisky I enjoy before dinner to wind down from the day.120.0 USD per Bottle
