Tastes

All the dark, rich flavors of the classic single malt with an added layer of smoke that persists without becoming too overpowering. Like eating dried fruits by a campfire.

Nothing overly complex about this bottle, but it executes well as a sweet, fruit forward wheated bourbon. Caramel, cherries, fresh apples on the nose. Palate is sweet and the apple note continues to stick out for me. A slightly sweet but dry finish that reminds me of a cherry pit. Very solid bourbon if you can find it at a reasonable price.

Strong ethanol punch upfront with herbal oakiness and dark cherry on the nose. Corn, vanilla cereal, red apple, and dark cherry on the palate. Finishes dry with some lingering fruitiness. Oak and ethanol overpower a lot of the flavors in the background. Not bad but not great.
