I first tried Botanist while on holiday in Scotland. It's the top gin at the Balmoral in Edinburgh. I'm not a big gin fan, or let me say I wasn't. This gin is devine. Served over ice with tonic and lime..its pure heaven. Smooth as glass and incredibly refreshing. I love this stuff! Thankfully I can get it here in the states. Even friends who drink nothing but gin have made the switch. The bar master at the Inverlochy Castle Hotel told me it's fast becoming the most popular gin in Europe. It's only a matter if time before it catches on here, which makes me nervous -- it's made in very limited quantities, and the botanicals are wild harvested and subject to patterns in growing seasons.
