George Dickel TABASCO Brand Barrel Finish
Flavored Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed June 18, 2018 (edited June 22, 2018)I’ve always been a fan of George Dickle and think it’s one of the best Tennessee whiskeys on the market and well above Jack Daniels, so it’s safe to say I’m a little biased in reviewing this. However, I was skeptical at first glance, but my curiosity got the best of me and I cracked open the bottle to find a secret gem in the world of flavored and unique finished whiskeys. And this is definitely unique. Not a fan of hot sauce but if all hot sauce tasted like this I’d be drinking it through a straw. The best way I can describe the taste is if you watered down Tabasco with a few shots of good ol George Dickle, it does however have a slightly sweet note to it I can’t quite place but it’s very subtle. Absolutely love this whiskey and cannot wait to add more to my personal stock -
Do you remember the first time you took a pill? You might’ve had trouble swallowing it and it stuck on your tongue for a bit, well if you wanted to replicate the taste that still haunts your dreams then look no further because this rum has your back. While the rum is smooth, probably it’s only saving grace, it’s taste makes it almost undrinkable when sipped on its own. After adding water a light smokey flavor poked its head through, only to be beaten into submission and shamed for considering itself to be welcome by the earlier pill taste. Probably one of my longer reviews but I had to warn you good people. Hopefully the other ages Bacardi releases are better.

Absolutely phenomenal bourbon. Vanilla and oak on the nose with cinnamon and some other spices partnered with that classic bourbon oaky taste on the palate. The cinnamon almost reminds me of a red hot and with a slight splash of water it's amplified. Definitely doesn't taste like the 57% either. 10/10 and one of my new favorite bourbons

Easily one of my favorite whiskies to date. A blended rye influenced heavily with Kentucky rye, followed by Canadian rye from their Alberta distillery, and then blended with a touch of California port. Smells exactly like a wine bottle when you open it up, which I found very interesting, and goes down like silk with those port notes and sweet fruity undertones, with a slight variation of a classic rye finish. Well worth the price and adventure to try a one if a kind whiskey.
