J. Henry & Sons 5 Year Patton Road Reserve
Bourbon — Wisconsin, USA
Reviewed January 29, 2019 (edited December 6, 2024)This is an easy sipper that doesn't require water. Rich vanilla and light oak on the nose. Pretty subdued heat given the proof, which was unexpected. Taste is sweet with bits of creamy vanilla and toffee, the sweetness returns for a long nice finish. -

Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland

Woodford Reserve Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 7, 2018 (edited September 19, 2018)Strong hits of caramel up front that allows bits of orange zest, mint and pepper to linger in. Would absolutely buy again.
