Nothing makes me feel more at home than a glass of Woodford, for me it it Kentucky in a bottle. The smoothness and the notes of butterscotch and oak are about as pleasant for me as you can get. You can drink this really any way, near, rocks, splash of water, with ginger ale, in a cocktail, etc. But for me, it will always be neat

This is a great bourbon to bring out for those who may be new to drinking bourbon or for the seasoned veteran. It’s drinkability can’t be beat -

Classification: Kentucky Straight Bourbon Proof: 116.8 (58.5%) Age: 6 Years Mashbill: Corn 75%, Rye 13%, Malted Barley 12% Distillery: Wild Turkey Austin Nichols, Lawrenceburg, KY Price: $40 - $50 Color: Dark Amber/Medium Copper Nose: Pretty subtle aroma, not strong alcohol aroma for a higher proof bourbon. Notes of vanilla and spice Palate: Bold rye spice, sweet tobacco, vanilla, oak, char, and black pepper Finish: Smooth and warm, touch on the dry side, smoky, and spicy Personal Rating: 7.25/10 Notes: I enjoyed this bourbon, for me it tastes similar to Wild Turkey 101 but has a little more of the char flavor from the barrel. Good for sipping on a crisp evening indoors. I usually prefer to drink my bourbon neat, but you could definitely enjoy this on the rocks or with a splash of water

Batch No C07-A-12 Classification: Kentucky Straight Bourbon Proof: 130.6 (65.3%) Age: 7 Years Mashbill: Corn 77%, Rye 13%, Malted Barley 10% Distillery: Jim Beam Distillery, Clermont, KY Price: $70 - $90 Color: Medium Amber Nose: Strong alcohol, oak, nutty Palate: Pleasantly sweet, leather, oak vanilla Finish: Long, velvety, oak, leather, warm Personal Rating: 9.5/10 Notes: Booker’s is probably in my top three favorite bourbons. The price tag can sometimes seem a little steep, but in my opinion it is worth it. For me, I describe the flavor as very “masculine,” which I am partial to with my bourbons. Due to the high proof, I recommend enjoying this on the rocks or with a splash of water to open up the palate...but of course you know I’ll be drinking it neat. What can I say? I love the Kentucky hug

Blood Oath Bourbon Pact No. 3
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 14, 2018 (edited August 18, 2018)Blood Oath Pact No. 3 2/4/2017 Classification: Whiskey (Kentucky Straight Bourbon with Secondary Maturation in Cabernet Sauvignon Barrels) Proof: 98.6 (49.3%) Age: NAS Mashbill: Undisclosed Distillery: Sourced Bottled: Luxco, River City Distilled Products, St. Louis, Mo Price: $100 Color: Dark Amber/Medium Copper Nose: Leather, Vanilla, Brown Sugar, Hint of Oak, Blackberry Palate: Sweet, Warm, Rich, Smooth, Vanilla, Creamy Caramel, Background fruitiness similar to dark grape Finish: Medium-Long, Warm, Oak, Clove, Dry Personal Rating: 7.25/1 Notes: Altogether I enjoyed this pour as it tastes like a solid traditional bourbon to me...just with a little extra fruitiness added. The palate was especially enjoyable for me as I said, the tradition flavors of vanilla and caramel are sitting on top of this secret little dark berry/grape taste. Going into the finish it immediately brought Welch’s Grape Juice to mind. This is a good sipping bourbon so drink it neat. Or if you like it chilled, some whiskey stones or a single ice cube. I’ve heard of some people paying as much as $200 for a bottle, if that is the case, maybe pass it up, but if you find it for the MSRP of $99, you won’t be mad about adding it to your shelf99.0 USD per Bottle
