Tastes

This takes everything that's good about Green Spot and builds on it. Still has that comforting soft sugary cereal, but then explodes with a depth of stone fruits drenched in sherry, and coats the palate with a velvety body that's beefed up with the proof. The finish has a few notes of coffee and toasty oak.

Wonderful value for money. Sensational floral honey on the nose, potent but not cloying. A medium body, and just a hint of nice smoke on the finish. Classic BenRiach, which I prefer to the 15.

Gigantic whiskey. Hot honey and peaches on the nose, opening into a complex, but well-married combination of mature sherry and light citrus, with worn leather on the mid-palate and finishing with a pleasant and enduring warmth.
