Tastes

Only enjoyed one pour, so tasting notes aren’t as elaborate. Very sweet up front, followed by that classic Booker’s high Proof heat, mellowed out by rich caramel, oak, corn, and vanilla. Need to go back to another to get the full range of flavor.

I enjoy it. Prefer it on ice than neat, but good either way. Easily see why it’s a daily drinker Nose: caramel, corn, and vanilla, with hints of fruit. Feel: oily and rich Taste: sweet and smooth up front. Ice/water opens up tastes of banana. Otherwise, caramel corn and vanilla, followed by baking spices and oak. Bit of ethanol at the end that fades into a warm finish of oak and corn, and more vanilla.

One of the most unique bourbons I’ve ever tasted. Caramel bananas up front, think bananas foster. Warm and buttery all the way through, with hint of cinnamon, apple, caramel corn, and cream. Dry finish.

Vanilla and toffee/caramel on the nose. Sweet vanilla and brown sugar at first, followed by rich spice and pleasant heat. Smoke and charred oak starts the finish, which is moderate and tailors off with more vanilla/brown sugar.

Good not great. Something that makes a good house bourbon. On par with Bowman Brothers or Basil Hayeden

Rich vanilla on the nose, with a hint of warm spices and leather. Taste more warm spiced vanilla right off the bat, followed by oak. Dry , lingering finish that leaves a sweet aftertaste"

Oak, corn, and vanilla on the nose. Mild spice on the front of the tongue, followed by warm, sweet vanilla and smoke. Short finish with lingering sweetness. Maybe higher proof would have balanced it out.

Super light and super sweet. Vanilla, pineapple, pear and a hint of maple on the nose. Bright on the front of the tongue, with rich vanilla and fruit. Finish is moderate with warmer spices like cinnamon and oak.

I liked this one better, much better, my second time through. Mellow and smooth, but with a good spicy finish. Vanilla. Toffee/caramel, but fruity/floral notes brighten it up. Altogether a well rounded bourbon that pleasantly surprised me. I’ll keep it in stock.

Want a bourbon that reminds of of scotch? Loved the smoke on this. Spice was at the right level. Vanilla was still pervasive throughout. Caramel and toffee mellow out the smoke.
