Tastes

One of my favorite Irish whiskies. It is rich, layered, and smooth. The nose carries candy shop aromas with a whiff of chocolate. The taste is initially light and fruity, then it evolves to reveal a complex mixture of Christmas pudding, toffee, and roasted nuts the finish is complex with sweet toffee notes. Bought in the UK; glad to see that is now available in the US!

Nice, but a bit pricey for the quality. Vanilla, cherry cream, and spice in the nose. The taste carries typical bourbon spice, vanilla ice cream and oak with creamy spice on the finish. 3.5 stars is closer to how I'd rate it.

Fairly standard rye whiskey. Lovely rye spice and rye bread on the nose. A fair amount of bite in the mouth.
