Heaven Hill Bottled In Bond 7 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 4, 2023 (edited February 10, 2023)I have a really wide spectrum of tastes I like. There haven’t been many bottles that I regret buying. This is one of them. To me, this is one note and that note is black pepper. I love good burn in bourbon but it needs to be balanced with some sweet. This is not my jam. Wish I’d have spent the $ on another bottle of Knob Creek Single Barrel instead. -
I bought this on Fred Minnick’s review and I agree with him wholeheartedly. This is excellent. It is light and refreshing and I get a sort of strawberries and champagne flavor note to it on top of a subtle whiskey background. This should NOT be compared to any sort of Kentucky bourbon. My wife can’t stand bourbon and thinks this is yummy. So go in with open eyes, but what a nice bottle to have in the mix for a change of pace or friends who aren’t bourbon aficionados.

Aberlour Casg Annamh (Batch 1)
Single Malt — Highland, Scotland
Reviewed January 13, 2023 (edited January 14, 2023)I personally think most negative reviews on this product come from Scotch aficionados. I’m a bourbon guy at heart and I deviate into Scotch and Irish just to keep things interesting. And I love this Aberlour expression! It’s got a nice lingering heat, and a good balance of rich sweet and dry flavors. I really like this and feel other bourbon drinkers wanting to dip their toes in sherried Scotches would enjoy this too. It’s not delicate. Neither am I.60.0 USD per Bottle
