Tastes

Alcohol on the nose,this blend of whiskey and vodka is barely good enough for a mixer. Drinking this straight will cause chills and hard nipples. Pre- vomit.

Chocolatey when chewed. Grows on me especially when compared to other bourbons in it's price range.

Curiously smells and tastes like a rye. Since it is a single malt perhaps its a rye malt. Its not bad but very strange.

Scents of honey, chocolate. Flavors of cinnamon and rubber. The rubber flavor for me is always a sign a whiskey has been bottled too early. This is a 84 proof American single malt picked up at the distillery. The distiller won't divulge the age of this American scotch. By the taste I'd guess it's aged for 12 months. Like so many young distilleries, they have bottled too soon. That being said, it has promise with some additional aging. I look forward to them letting it age longer and producing something with an age statement in 6-8 years.

Super delicious malted bourbon. Punches above it's price point. Apparently I'm not the only one who thinks so. I went back to Total Wine a week later to buy a few more and they were sold out. Bummer. If you see this buy it. A steal at this price.
