N: Rye spice, grass, oak, and maybe some vanilla. The smells are aromatic and blend under the grass well. P: Sweet! There is vanilla and light oak. Also some bubblegum. I am not getting much rye. There is peanut butter like a lot of Jim Beam products. F: The finish seems to be vague. I certainly get the bourbon notes and some rye spice at the last taste which is interesting since it didn’t show on the palate much. Mostly peanuts, muddled leather and some oak that warps around the smooth palate.

N: Smooth blend of cocoa, vanilla, nuts and oak. Theres Dill and anise here also. Maybe I pick up some maple syrup? I’m not sure. It’s muffled under the cocoa and vanilla: P: This is smooth. It’s Not thick however. It’s watered down. It’s good still but the mash blends the notes well but not allowing prominent notes to show up. It would be nice to have those here. The vanilla and oak are Most prominent to no one’s surprise. F: The chocolate Shows up again and takes the stage. Theres tobacco out of no Where wanting to make a debut. I think it should have shown up earlier. It’s Not prominent. Again Not much is at the forefront which leaves much to be desired. It’s a quick finish.

N: Sweet! Vanilla, cocoa, oak, and leather. There is some red fruit. Theres some tobacco. It’s the best out of the first four. It’s spicy too but in spice Not heat. P: Maple comes out of nowhere. Vanilla continues and shows up slow. Theres more oak and molasses. The fruit continues. It’s Deep notes and not watered down. Finish: Warm and gives a nice long hug. The Proof allows for a non watered down finish. The same notes continue. It’s good!

N: Marshmallow, oak, vanilla, creamy, and there spice of cinnamon and black pepper. There may be some butterscotch or custard. I’m not sure. P: Warm! Amazing! The cinnamon and Pepper spices Hit first. Tobacco and oak show up second while caramel, vanilla and marshmallows close it out. The additional Proof helps Here. F: The Kentucky hug is present! It’s welcomed. The consistency is nice compared to weaker Proofs tonight, however, it’s not unique. That doesn’t make it bad. Just warm and Welcomed. Maybe more oak on the end than normal.

The brine shines through the peat. Yet the peat is backed well by a soft sweetness. It’s a little thin compared to the 10yr or quarter cask yet is the more rounded version. Quarter, 10yr, and triple all are present here but this is its own drink. A good warm weather dram due to the fleeting taste and thinner taste. Delicious and reasonable price.
