Ill say quite easily that these picks are the best american single malts ever created. Probably top five american whiskies ive ever had period. These are truly special and show the peak of what american single malts can be and how they differentiate from scotch.

Not quite as good as their standard single malt but still quite nice. I love the funky moldy shoe nose coming from the sherry cask. This one would be a perfect 5 if it had some peat.

To me this tastes like a proofed up lineage. Very unique!

All honey and fruit with a hint of the balcones signature funky honey / tangy bbq sauce.

This was quite nice. All caramel popcorn for me

One of the strangest american single malts ive tried yet. Id claim balcones is the best asm. This is polar opposite of balcones in flavor profile. For me the main flavor of westward is oolong or green tea, followed by a strange bubblegum, and some young whiskey harshness. Probably my least favorite american single malt distiller.

Sweet rich deep and fruity. Definitely the sweetest weller by a landslide.

Its very similar to van winkle lot b but not quiiiite as good. Less red fruits and also less savoriness here compared to lot b, but still quite good.

This whiskey has it good days and bad days for me. On the good days, like today, i get a ton of red fruit, a perfect balance of savory and sweetness, and an alluring savory oak. On other days i find the oak too spicy.
